Located on the I-5 Corridor, Arbuckle is
deeply rooted in both agriculture and
traditional family values. Over the last
several years Arbuckle has seen gradual
development, raising the population from 820
to over 1,000 citizens. However, Arbuckle’s
downtown has been neglected and has become
an eye sore for many local residents.
In 2002 the Arbuckle Revitalization
Committee was formed by a group of citizens
whose primary goal was to “Refresh, Restore,
and Revitalize businesses and community
pride in the Town of Arbuckle”.
To date, the ARC has maintained and
rebuilt three downtown parks and is in the
process of completing a downtown parking
area. The restored parks include: Wee Park,
Veterans Memorial Park, and the LaVanche
Hursh Community Park. To help fund these
improvement projects the ARC hosts three
major fundraisers though out the year. These
events include: the Arbuckle Car Show &
Train Depot Birthday BBQ, Spring Fiesta &
Carnitas Cook-off, and the annual Crab Feed.
Local Residents and Community Members are welcome, and
encouraged, to join the Arbuckle
Revitalization Committees Monthly Meetings
at the Arbuckle Fire Hall [Dates and
times will be posted on the homepage].
